I am throwing an impromptu baby shower decoration ideas baby shower this weekend and need ideas...Mainly for decorations...things i can throw together in a day but will look special. Something unique would be nice!

Baby showers are one way of announcing to the world that some one is going to be a new mother. Now I know that many people have already tried ideas like this, but you can give these baby shower decorations a personal look and revamp them. Instead of medium sized children’s umbrellas you can have miniature parasols that are opened and hanging from the ceiling near each guest’s seat. In this baby shower decoration you will have a lot of party favors like minture perfume flacons, light up pacifiers and small delicious chocolates for the guests.
Other than baby shower decorations for the guests and the new mother you can make the baby shower itself look interesting and unique with some really beautiful baby shower decorations in the room. One type of baby shower decoration that you can try is to have some long clear plastic champagne flutes filled with fresh flowers. From the stems you can have some gaily wrapped mini chocolate eggs waiting for your guest to take home or eat while they are at the party.
As you see these baby shower ideas can be either expensive or simple. The way that you plan these parties depends on the time and the money that you are willing to set aside. The one thing that you can be assured of is that if you take a little effort you can have a great looking baby shower decoration that will last as a wonderful memento for the expectant mother.

I was worried that it would be impossible to get my twin 11 month old boys to cooperate with making hand-print ornaments. This is definitely a great purchase for anyone with wiggly children! It allows you to roll the material out multiple times until you get the perfect impression. I even had enough left over to make paw imprint ornaments for my dogs. The instructions are easy to follow and the mess is pretty minimal. Would highly recommend.
I purchased this so we could have our daughter’s handprint for her very first Christmas. It is INCREDIBLY easy to do! The best part is that if you make a mistake or you are not happy with how the print came out you can redo it. I am not sure what this is made of, but it smells like marshmallows. It is smooth and soft and you roll it out using the roller included with the kit. I should mention that the material stuck to the wooden roller that came with the kit and the directions state that if this happens, to use a round tin can. That worked for me! The other thing I had trouble with was the plastic ring that came with the kit; I just used a bowl.
You do have to push a bit hard to make a solid impression in the material. A straw is included to make the holes at the top for the ribbon. I used a toothpick and pin-pricked the year at the bottom. It came out beautiful! I highly recommend this kit for parents and to make those one-of-a-kind keepsake gifts.
I thought this was a little expensive (for what you get in the kit) but turns out that there is enough clay to make 2 ornaments (for baby or toddler-sized hands). I divided the clay in half, kneaded, then rolled out (use a metal can, the wooden roller sticks to the clay) made a circle out of the enclosed tape then shaped the clay to fit the circle (rolling and reshaping as needed) so there was minimal waste of clay, then press the hand into the clay. If you don’t get a good impression, you can repeat again until you get the impression you want. The final ornament makes a nice gift for parents (or grandparents).
We had a great time making the imprints for our twins’ hands and feet. It was very quick and there was no mess to clean up afterwards. Also, there was enough foam in a kit to do both a hand and a foot. However, the final product is very lightweight and rather soft. I would also recommend using something to cut it out other than the included ring because we had a hard time getting the ring to look even.

This product was wonderful! I gave it as a gift to my parents for Grandparents Day. Very easy to use and easy to assemble. I definitely recommend this product.
This was amazingly easy to do. You just need to roll it out and press your baby’s foot into it. THAT’S IT!! No goop or sticky wetness. I loved that I could redo it because there were some times when my baby wanted to move her toes in strange ways when I was trying to make the imprint. It dried nicely and there is a nice frame to add a picture. Definitely worth the price. I ordered 4 as Christmas gifts and everyone loved em. I highly recommend this easy to do keepsake.
I have two frames that I purchased for my two older children that are just like the picture- with a black background for the footprint area. But unfortunately, this product comes with baby pink and blue backgrounds. I had to go out and buy black posterboard in order for the frame to match the others. fyi to those of you wanting the black background.
